Binance's handling of Russian law enforcement requests has come under scrutiny after it was revealed that the company provided personal and transaction data to Russian authorities.

The data, which included details on a Russian IT specialist who donated cryptocurrency to Ukrainian fundraising campaigns, was later used as evidence in a terrorism-financing case against the donor.

Russian investigators allegedly requested the information from Binance in 2025, despite the company's claims that it had fully exited the Russian market in 2023.

The case raises questions about Binance's commitment to protecting user data and its compliance with international regulations.
