Binance Aims for StratBox Launch Within Year
Binance is set to launch its StratBox pilot within the year, according to officials from BlockShoals Technologies, Inc., which operates Binance as a crypto-asset intermediary (CAI) under the SEC's Strategic Regulatory Sandbox.
The company is currently onboarding a BSP-licensed VASP to enable fiat-to-cryptocurrency conversions, with a 90-day integration phase that began in April and scheduled to begin its sandbox phase in the second half of the year for two years.
'Phase one starts once we have our rails, wherein we have a virtual asset service provider (VASP) that is regulated by the BSP and who is able to convert fiat to crypto,' said Legal Advisor Marie Antonette B. Quiogue.
Binance also plans to adopt a tiered approach to product access, matching product availability and complexity with customers' knowledge based on assessment tests, as stated by SB Seker, Binance Asia-Pacific (APAC) Head.
