Binance Bitcoin Reserves Soar to Two-Year High
Binance's Bitcoin reserves have reached a two-year high of over 693,000 BTC, accounting for approximately 30% of major exchange reserves. The increase has been significant, with Binance's reserves growing by 77,000 BTC since late April.
The rise in Binance's reserves may be attributed to several factors, including investors transferring Bitcoin to exchanges in preparation for selling after rallies in May and more recently. Another possible explanation is the SAFU fund's planned investment of $1 billion to acquire around 15,000 BTC, which could affect exchange-held reserves.
Darkfost, a crypto analyst, attributed the increase to various factors, including investors moving Bitcoin to exchanges for asset security following the ColdCard incident. However, it is unclear whether this represents immediate selling intent or simply a custody movement.
