Binance Blocks 11 Crypto Platforms Amid EU Sanctions
Binance has announced that it will cease transactions with 11 cryptocurrency platforms starting from August 23, 2026. The move is attributed to recent regulatory developments, specifically the European Union's adoption of a sanctions package targeting platforms linked to Russia in July.
The 11 affected platforms include Rapira, Aifory Pro (Sooty Ltd), ABCeX, WhiteBird, NoOnecrypto, Tradex (Brightum LLC), Monease Ltd, BitPapa, Exnode / Exnode Pay, HTX (formerly Huobi), and EXMO Ltd.
This is the third round of restrictions imposed by Binance this month, following earlier blocks on Shelbit and Aban Tether Exchange on August 7, and A7 Nigeria, A7 Africa, and PilotFinance on August 13. If users attempt to transact with these platforms after the deadline, their funds may be held for compliance review, which can lead to wallet freezes and further restrictions.
Exchanges are under increasing pressure from regulators to cut off platforms linked to sanctioned entities, making it essential for users to monitor sanctions lists and adjust their transactions accordingly.
