Binance Blocks Russian Crypto Platforms Amid EU Sanctions
Binance has announced that it will restrict transactions with certain Russian crypto platforms targeted by the European Union's latest package of sanctions against Russia.
The move follows recent changes in legislation, which has led to Binance no longer processing transactions involving specific crypto-asset service providers/platforms.
The EU adopted its 21st package of sanctions against Russia on July 23, including restrictions on 14 cryptocurrency services. The measures will take effect on August 23 for platforms such as Rapira, Aifory Pro, ABCeX, and others.
Binance will block transactions with these platforms and associated crypto wallets, stating that 'restrictions may be applied to the impacted wallet(s) while the review is ongoing and such activity may also constitute a breach of Binance.'
