Binance Captures 35% of Open Interest in Traditional Finance Perpetuals
Binance's dominance in traditional finance (TradFi) perpetual contracts continues to grow. Since launching its first TradFi perpetual contracts on January 8, 2026, with gold (XAUUSDT) and silver (XAGUSDT), Binance has expanded its market share.
The exchange now commands approximately 35% of the open interest in TradFi perpetual contracts, as well as a slightly higher market volume share of nearly 35.9%. This is according to recent data that shows the total TradFi open interest on crypto exchanges surpassing $2 billion.
TradFi perpetual contracts allow traders to speculate on future prices without expiry, with leverage options up to 25-50x the original investment. Binance's market hold in this space has been evident since Q2 2026, when it led with about $380 billion in TradFi perp trading volume.
