Binance Co-Founders CZ and Yi Used Simpsons Codenames Internally

Binance co-founders Changpeng 'CZ' Zhao and Yi He used Simpsons-themed codenames in internal communications, according to former employees.

The pair adopted the names of television's most famous yellow couple - Homer and Marge Simpson - reflecting Binance's long-standing association with the color yellow.

CZ appeared on calls as 'Homer,' while Yi used 'Marge' or 'Marjorie,' a name that suggests the original codename evolved into a lasting internal identity for her.

The choice was particularly fitting given that CZ and Yi are not only Binance co-founders but also long-time romantic partners, whose personal relationship was kept largely out of the public eye for years.
