Binance Defends Against Outflow FUD Amid Data Discrepancies
Binance has responded to market concerns over on-chain data anomalies flagged by third-party trackers Coinglass and DefiLlama. The exchange noted that similar past discrepancies with DefiLlama were due to data restoration issues, which are expected to be resolved in 24-48 hours.
The statement followed reports of anomalous outflows from Binance, which the exchange attributed to unvalidated data from third parties. Binance directed users to its proof-of-reserves page for personal asset checks and pointed to CoinMarketCap for total balances.
This is not the first time that Coinglass's data has been at odds with DefiLlama's. In 2025, Coinglass showed $21.75 billion outflows from Binance, contradicted by DefiLlama's $900 million inflows.
