Binance Delists ICON's ICX Token Amid Fading Relevance
Binance announced it will delist ICON's ICX token from all spot trading pairs on September 3, 2026. This move marks the end of an era for what was once dubbed the 'Korean Ethereum.'
The delisting follows a trend where projects that failed to maintain liquidity and trading activity are removed from Binance. ICX is being removed alongside SCRT and STORJ.
ICON launched in 2017 with a vision of connecting disparate blockchains into one interoperable network. The project delivered roughly 100x returns during the bull market but never fully recovered its narrative momentum after the 2018 crash.
The delisting from Binance's main platform follows an earlier removal from Binance.US on April 6, 2026. For ICX holders still on the platform, trading stops on September 3, and any remaining balances could be automatically swapped into stablecoins after November 4, 2026.
