Binance Delists Pax Dollar Stablecoin Due to Lack of Requirements
Binance is removing the Pax Dollar (USDP) stablecoin from its platform due to not meeting the exchange's requirements. The decision was made after a periodic review, and USDP spot trading pairs will stop trading on September 24, 2026, at 03:00 UTC.
All existing spot orders for USDP will be automatically canceled after trading stops. Binance cited several factors it considers when reviewing listings, including trading volume, liquidity, development activity, network security, and community sentiment.
The removal of USDP from Binance will have far-reaching consequences. On September 11, at 06:00 UTC, the exchange is set to delist USDP on its Margin platform. However, users will no longer be able to make deposits after September 25, at 03:00 UTC.
Withdrawals are still possible until November 24, at 03:00 UTC, but Binance may convert remaining USDP balances into stablecoins after November 25, although this is not guaranteed. The exchange emphasized that the delisting does not imply Paxos has ceased to support the stablecoin or lost its dollar backing.
