Binance Delists Six Assets Amid Global Expansion Push
Binance has announced the delisting of six digital assets from its platform: Across Protocol (ACX), Hashflow (HFT), PIVX (PIVX), Vulcan Forged PYR (PYR), Vanar (VANRY), and Viction (VIC).
The decision, made after a review to ensure all listed cryptocurrencies meet industry standards, will take effect on August 17. However, the news has already caused significant price fluctuations in these tokens.
PIVX and PYR have been hit the hardest, with both experiencing losses of over 20% within the past day. The other four assets have recorded more modest decreases, ranging from a few percent to around 10%.
This development is not entirely unexpected, given Binance's recent platform amendments affecting multiple altcoin traders and investors. A similar scenario played out in late June when Alchemix (ALCX), Ardor (ARDR), NFPrompt Token (NFP), and Marlin (POND) were delisted.
NFP suffered the most substantial price drop, with its value plummeting by 21% in a single day. The exchange has been facing regulatory pressure in Europe but continues to expand globally, solidifying its presence in the Philippines last month.
