Binance Derivatives Market Reaches Record Volume Disparity
The Bitcoin derivatives market on Binance has reached an all-time high in terms of volume compared to the spot market. The ratio between futures volume and spot trading on the platform is now 7.82, with daily derivatives volume reaching $57.82 billion versus $6.08 billion traded on the spot market.
According to CryptoQuant data, this divergence represents the highest relative level ever recorded on Binance. Analyst Arab Chain noted that Bitcoin's price has stayed near $64,000 while derivative products are growing faster than the spot market.
The gap between both segments follows several months of lower investor demand, with a portion of retail capital shifting toward stocks linked to the artificial intelligence sector. The 30-day average behavior shows a slowdown in both the spot and derivatives markets.
CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju emphasized that while futures demand remains in positive territory, it is significantly below the levels observed during the rally three months ago. The trading outlook suggests that neither buyers nor sellers are exerting enough pressure to break out of the current range.
