Binance Ditches Pax Dollar Amid Listing Requirements Snub
Binance is delisting Pax Dollar (USDP), a dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Paxos, citing its failure to meet the exchange's listing requirements. The decision affects spot trading pairs, which will stop trading on September 24, 2026, at 03:00 UTC.
Spot orders in place will be automatically canceled after trading stops. Additionally, Binance Margin is set to delist USDP on September 11, with Binance Buy and Sell Crypto ceasing support a few hours earlier.
The removal extends beyond spot market trading. Users can still withdraw standard USDP until November 24 at 03:00 UTC, but deposits will no longer be credited after September 25 at 03:00 UTC.
Binance stated that remaining USDP balances may eventually be converted into stablecoins after November 25, but this conversion is not guaranteed and depends on network conditions. The delisting does not imply a loss of dollar backing or support from Paxos.
