Binance Dominates ETF Perpetual Market with $116 Billion Trading Volume
Binance's ETF perpetual contracts have seen explosive growth since their launch in March this year. The exchange claims that trading volume has surpassed $116 billion, a figure that represents a massive increase in demand for these products.
The market share of Binance's ETF perpetual business has risen to 74%, up from just 18% at the time of its introduction. This makes Binance the dominant player in this segment of the crypto derivatives market.
The growth in ETF perpetuals can be attributed, in part, to the increasing popularity of global ETF markets. Worldwide trading volumes have recently reached a record $23 trillion, driven by rising demand for exchange-traded investment products.
Binance's expansion into tradfi perpetual contracts has also played a significant role in its growing market share. The exchange now offers 146 trading pairs, including broad-market ETFs like SPY and QQQ, as well as sector-focused funds and country-specific products.
