Binance Dominates TradFi Perpetual Contracts with 35% Market Share
Binance has taken a significant lead in the market for traditional finance (TradFi) perpetual contracts, capturing approximately 35% of open interest (OI) in this niche.
The exchange's dominance was built over several months since launching its first TradFi perpetual contracts on January 8, 2026, with gold (XAUUSDT) and silver (XAGUSDT) being the initial offerings.
Binance has since expanded its presence in equities, offering tickers like GEV, VRT, and SNOW, which has helped it bolster its market hold. Today, Binance enjoys a nearly 35.9% share of the TradFi perpetuals' market volume.
TradFi perpetual contracts allow traders to speculate on the future prices of traditional assets without expiry, with leverage options up to 25-50x the original investment.
