Binance employees detained in the UAE have been cleared and released after providing statements to authorities.

The exchange's employees were stopped at airports as part of a police inquiry into possible financial crimes involving Binance, according to The New York Times.

A spokesperson for Binance told Cointelegraph that the employees were not targets or subjects of the investigation but rather provided statements about third-party fund flows through a company client account.
