Two employees of Binance, the crypto exchange, were detained by police in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as part of a fraud investigation into funds moving through the exchange.

The employees were stopped at airports and questioned by police, but have since been released. A third Binance executive, who runs the company's Dubai subsidiary, was also questioned by police in July.

Binance has stated that none of its employees were targets or subjects of the inquiries, and that all who provided statements were promptly cleared and released.
