Binance Enters Stock Options Market
Binance has announced that it will start offering options on over 1,000 selected U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds through its Abu Dhabi Global Market-regulated broker-dealer, Nest Trading Limited. The product will not be available to users in the United States.
The stock options are physically settled, meaning users receive or deliver the underlying shares when they exercise a contract. Exercise requests can be submitted up to 30 minutes before expiry, and eligible retail users can buy calls and puts with their maximum potential loss limited to the premium paid.
This move builds on Binance's rapid expansion into traditional finance, which has seen its equities offering span over 7,000 stocks and ETFs alongside tokenized securities and equity-linked perpetual futures. The company said that traditional-finance perpetual futures volume reached roughly $433.4 billion in August, about 15 times January's $29.5 billion.
