Binance Expands Commodity Options with Gold and Silver Listings
Binance has listed European-style gold and silver options on its Nest Exchange, cash-settled in USDT. The exchange said that this move builds on the momentum of its commodity perpetuals introduced earlier this year.
The CEO of Binance's trading arm, Shunyet Jan, stated that 'With gold hitting record highs and investors seeking inflation hedges outside traditional equities, Binance's commodity options offer users additional compliant, crypto-native ways to diversify without leaving the platform.'
MEXC launched zero-fee gold and silver futures in January, quoted in USDT and USDC pairs. Hyperliquid allows trading of perpetual swaps for oil, the S&P 500, and gold.
Tether has moved its capital by buying 70% of Adecoagro, a South American sugar and dairy producer, for about $600 million. The aim is to embed USDT in physical commodity settlement.
