Binance Expands Options Trading for US Stocks and ETFs
Binance has expanded its trading capabilities by launching options for over 1,000 U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for eligible users outside the United States.
The options product is offered through Nest Trading, a Binance-affiliated broker-dealer regulated in Abu Dhabi, with order execution handled by Alpaca Securities. This move allows users to exercise physical delivery of the underlying asset when using an option, as opposed to cash settlement.
This marks a significant expansion of Binance's offerings in traditional financial products, which have seen rapid growth on its platform. Trading volume for traditional-finance perpetual futures reached around $433 billion in August, a 15-fold increase from January.
Other crypto exchanges are also expanding their offerings, with Coinbase introducing tokenized stocks and Kraken opening access to over 7,000 U.S.-listed stocks for European customers. The trend suggests that crypto exchanges are broadening their business beyond digital-asset trading to bundle stocks and derivatives under a single account.
