Binance Expands Options with 1,000+ US Stock Contracts and Tight Expiration Deadline
Binance has expanded its services by adding over 1,000 US stock options to its platform. These contracts come with an exercise cutoff of 30 minutes before expiration.
The options are available to eligible users outside the United States and cover more than 1,000 selected US-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds. However, it's essential to note that exercising a contract is not automatic and must be done through Binance by submitting an instruction at least 30 minutes before expiration.
If no exercise request is submitted, the contract will enter auto-liquidation mode, where Binance will attempt to sell the position on a best-efforts basis. It's crucial for traders to understand that even in-the-money options may expire without being exercised.
The company has partnered with Alpaca Securities to handle execution, settlement, and custody of the trades. This partnership allows Binance to offer its users access to traditional financial markets while maintaining control over the customer-facing experience.
