Binance Founder Hails Kyrgyzstan as Crypto Hub Leader
Changpeng Zhao, the founder of Binance and advisor to Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov, is impressed with the country's rapid development into a cryptocurrency hub. In just one year, Kyrgyzstan has moved from discussions to establishing a working infrastructure where banks interact with crypto exchanges and stablecoins are being issued.
According to Zhao, this progress is significant because it usually takes 5-9 years for other jurisdictions to achieve what Kyrgyzstan has accomplished in a year. He believes that the country has created a balance between protecting its financial system and fostering innovation, which is essential for the crypto industry's growth.
Zhao also highlighted the importance of political will in driving this progress. President Japarov's support has enabled coordination among regulators, banks, law enforcement, security agencies, and the economic bloc, making it easier to establish a functioning crypto infrastructure.
