Binance has handed over user data to Russian law enforcement related to cryptocurrency donations made to Ukrainian military recipients. The records pertain to Yurii Bilenkyi, who sent more than $700 to Ukrainian military in 2025.

This move is seen as alarming given that Binance claimed it would withdraw completely from Russia in 2023.

Meanwhile, the European Union has witnessed a rise in scam activity due to the shift to the MiCA regulatory framework. Over 1,700 platforms without licenses have been ordered to stop serving customers in the EU.

Only 323 companies had obtained MiCA approval by July 1, 2026, highlighting the difficulties of transitioning to new industry standards.
