Binance Institutional Partner Unloads $263 Million in 30 Minutes
Ceffu, Binance's institutional custody partner, has withdrawn a massive $263 million worth of Bitcoin and Ethereum from the exchange in just 30 minutes.
This is not the first time Ceffu has moved large sums between Binance and itself. In July, it transferred 3,000 BTC (worth approximately $192 million) from Binance to one of its addresses over a period of 12 days.
The withdrawal occurred during Bitcoin's strongest weekly performance in three years, with the asset rising 22% for the week following news that the US Treasury Department would double the size of its long-dated bond buybacks. This move lowered yields and revived appetite for risk assets.
Large custody-partner withdrawals like this are typically seen as settlement or rebalancing transactions rather than a bearish signal, given that the assets were moved directly into Ceffu's institutional custody address rather than a private wallet.
