Binance Offers Options on Over 1,000 US Stocks and ETFs
Binance is expanding its services beyond cryptocurrency trading by offering physically settled options on more than 1,000 US stocks and ETFs. The exchange is partnering with Nest Trading Limited, a broker-dealer regulated by Abu Dhabi Global Market, to offer these options. Eligible non-US users will be able to buy calls and puts on selected US-listed stocks and ETFs, with losses limited to the premium paid.
The contracts are physically settled, meaning that if exercised, users receive or deliver the underlying shares, which Alpaca Securities holds in custody on their behalf. This expansion builds on Binance's existing access to more than 7,000 US stocks and ETFs, alongside tokenized securities and equity-linked perpetual futures.
According to Binance, emerging-market users generated over 80% of direct stock-trading volume during the first week of the offering. The exchange also reported that TradFi perpetual volume reached about $433.4 billion in August, nearly 15 times January's $29.5 billion. Shunyet Jan, Binance's head of exchange and trading, said 'By adding options on selected US stocks and ETFs, we are expanding the tools available to users who want to participate in equity markets, manage exposure, and access strategies that have historically been offered through traditional brokers, all from one Binance account.'
