Binance P2P Sellers in India Face Bank Account Freeze Risk Due to Cybercrime-Linked Transactions
Binance P2P sellers in India are facing a growing concern about bank account freezes due to transactions linked to cybercrime. According to Reddit's r/CryptoIndia community, several users have reported their bank accounts being frozen weeks after completing Binance P2P transactions.
The issue arises when buyers use tainted fiat money to purchase $USDT on the platform. Although Binance uses escrow and KYC measures to reduce fraud risks, it cannot guarantee that the buyer's fiat money is clean.
Binance advises sellers to preserve transaction records, contact their bank, and cooperate with local authorities if an account is frozen. However, this does not necessarily mean that the seller is responsible for the underlying crime.
