Binance Pay Expands Crypto Payments Across Bhutan to Over 3,700 Merchants
Binance Pay has expanded its reach to Bhutan, enabling local and international visitors to make cryptocurrency payments at over 3,700 merchants across the country. The integration with Bhutan's DK Bank Domestic QR payment network allows users to scan merchants' existing DK Bank QR codes through the Binance app for secure and seamless transactions.
This expansion builds on a previous collaboration between Binance Pay, Bhutan's Department of Tourism, and DK Bank launched in May 2025. The integration with DK Bank's QR network increases crypto acceptance from an initial rollout of over 100 merchants to a broader nationwide merchant footprint.
SB Seker, Head of APAC at Binance, stated that integrating Binance Pay with Bhutan's domestic QR network demonstrates real-world crypto adoption when built on trusted infrastructure. He noted that Binance Pay has grown to more than 21 million merchants globally and processed over $321 billion in total transactions since 2021.
