Binance Prevents $1.2M Governance Attack in Under 48 Hours
Binance's quick thinking and action saved $1.2 million in tokens from a potential governance attack.
A malicious proposal was crafted to target an unnamed DAO project's treasury, with the goal of stealing about $1.2 million in tokens.
Binance's security team detected the threat first and acted in under 48 hours, alerting the DAO project and coordinating deposit closures with other platforms.
This is not the only recent example of Binance's proactive approach to security; it also tightened its noose on sixteen sanctioned crypto platforms, including Shelbit and Aban Tether Exchange, cutting off direct or indirect transactions to these entities.
Binance has also launched Agent OS, an infrastructure designed to connect AI agents directly to its tools for trading, payments, real-time market data, and wallet management.
