Binance has restored access to its website in the Philippines through PLDT Inc.'s internet network, following a similar move by Globe Telecom Inc. earlier this year.

The global cryptocurrency exchange had been blocked by ISPs in March 2024 for offering unregistered securities and operating without a local license.

Under the updated operational structure, Binance services in the Philippines are provided through BlockShoals Technologies Inc., an SEC-approved Crypto Asset Intermediary operating within the Strategic Regulatory Sandbox (StratBox) framework.

Binance appointed fintech veteran Jen Bilango as General Manager for Binance in the Philippines and BlockShoals has joined FinTech Alliance Philippines, an industry organization comprising digital finance and financial technology firms in the country.
