Binance Restricts HTX Transactions Amid EU Sanctions
Binance has announced that it will stop processing direct or indirect transactions involving HTX and ten other platforms from August 23, 2026. The exchange cited compliance with requirements in jurisdictions where it operates.
Justin Sun, founder of HTX, responded to the announcement by stating that Binance's restrictions only apply to users in the UK and European Union. He claimed that HTX does not conduct business in either region and that settlement negotiations with regulators are underway.
The EU has listed HTX among eleven crypto platforms facing transaction bans from August 23, citing the need to comply with sanctions involving Russia. Binance's restrictions match this list, which includes Rapira, Aifory Pro, ABCeX, WhiteBird, NoOnecrypto, Tradex, Monease, BitPapa, Exnode, and EXMO.
