Binance Restricts Transactions with 17 Crypto Platforms Amid Global Regulatory Pressure
Binance, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has tightened its controls by restricting transactions involving 17 crypto-asset service providers and platforms. This move comes as global regulators intensify scrutiny of digital-asset flows.
The exchange announced restrictions on three Nigeria-linked entities: A7 Nigeria, A7 Africa (operating in Nigeria and Zimbabwe), and PilotFinance Ltd. These restrictions took effect from August 13.
Other affected platforms include Shelbit General Trading LLC and Aban Tether Exchange, restricted from August 7, while further restrictions took effect on August 23 for platforms including Rapira, Aifory Pro, ABCeX, WhiteBird, Tradex, NoOnecrypto, Monease, BitPapa, Exnode, Exnode Pay, HTX and EXMO.
Binance warned users not to send funds to or receive funds from the listed platforms after their respective effective dates. Transactions attempted after these deadlines could be held for compliance reviews, with wallets associated with such transactions facing restrictions during investigations.
The move is necessary due to growing regulatory pressure from the US and EU on crypto platforms accused of facilitating transactions involving sanctioned individuals, entities, or jurisdictions.
