Binance Seeks Dismissal Of Lawsuit Claiming Terrorist Attack Support
Binance, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, is pushing for a federal judge in Manhattan to dismiss a lawsuit claiming it aided and abetted 30 terrorist attacks. The lawsuit alleges that Binance knowingly provided substantial assistance to foreign terrorist organizations.
The plaintiffs argue that the exchange allowed suspected terrorists to use its platform to launder money and fund their activities. However, Binance's lawyers say that the plaintiffs still cannot plausibly allege that the company provided knowing and substantial assistance to these groups.
Binance and its former CEO are asking the judge to dismiss the lawsuit, which was filed in 2026. The exchange claims that it has not been shown to have knowingly assisted any terrorist organizations.
