Binance Sees $670M Stablecoin Influx as Capital Flight Reverses
Binance's exchange saw a significant shift in investor behavior as it recorded over $670 million in net stablecoin inflows at the start of January, following a December retreat.
This influx comes after a month when Binance experienced a capital flight with more than $1.8 billion exiting the platform.
The trend is a reversal from October's exceptional liquidity when over $8 billion in net stablecoin inflows were recorded, according to on-chain analyst Darkfost.
Darkfost noted that December's outflows could be attributed to Binance reducing part of its stablecoin holdings to adjust reserve levels. The trend suggests that sidelined capital may be re-entering the market with Binance's Bitcoin-to-stablecoin ratio trending upward.
