Binance Sees Slight Stablecoin Recovery Amid $5.1 Billion YTD Outflow
CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost has highlighted a slight recovery in crypto market liquidity during August, as stablecoin funds began to flow into exchanges. Binance saw net stablecoin inflows exceeding $1 billion for the month, but this remains relatively modest compared to its overall capital flow scale.
However, year-to-date, Binance has seen a cumulative net stablecoin outflow of approximately $5.1 billion, which contradicts the recent recovery. Its stablecoin volume currently accounts for roughly 71% of the total across all exchanges.
Concurrently, stablecoin reserves at major exchanges have contracted by over $16 billion, indicating that liquidity continues to drain from the crypto market as investors opt to withdraw funds rather than wait for redeployment opportunities.
