Binance Smart Chain Token Exploit Drains $117,000 from Liquidity Pool
A recent security incident on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) has drained an estimated $117,000 from a liquidity pool after an attacker exploited the sell() function of the CCC token contract.
TenArmorAlert detected the exploit on August 28 and attributed it to the token's own contract rather than an external hack. The attacker manipulated the balance of CCC tokens held in the liquidity provider pair, distorting the ratio that determines the pool's pricing.
The incident is part of a growing trend of contract-level exploits targeting liquidity infrastructure on BNB Chain. In recent months, several notable incidents have occurred, including a $625,000 loss by Swan Treasury and an estimated $915,000 exploit tied to 42DAO.
