Binance Stablecoin Liquidity Rotates from Tron to Ethereum

The stablecoin liquidity on Binance has undergone a significant shift in recent weeks, with a notable decrease in Tron's USDT reserves and an increase in Ethereum-based stablecoins.

According to data from Blockonomi, the USDT reserves on Tron have fallen by nearly 50% over the past two weeks, dropping from $1.4 billion to $709 million. In contrast, both USDT and USDC inflows into Ethereum have surged sharply during this period.

The total purchasing power of Binance remains stable despite the shift in network composition. However, the data suggests that large holders and market makers are pulling collateral off the Tron network specifically, indicating a broader reallocation rather than an exit from stablecoins altogether.

On-chain analyst CryptoOnchain has flagged this rotation as the defining feature of the current cycle. The reasons behind this preference for Ethereum could be due to deeper decentralized finance liquidity on Ethereum or broader market infrastructure and settlement options.
