Binance Staff Cleared After UAE Detention
Binance employees detained in the United Arab Emirates have been cleared and released after cooperating with authorities.
The exchange's spokesperson told Cointelegraph that the staff members were not targets of 'routine inquiries' into possible financial crimes involving Binance.
According to the New York Times, two Binance employees were stopped at airports in the UAE amid police investigations. The exchange described these inquiries as standard procedures for emerging concepts like cryptocurrency and institutional client money accounts.
Binance is working with Dubai Police and authorities across other Emirates to establish clear coordination procedures.
