Binance Taps Experienced Executive for Philippine Expansion
Binance has appointed Jen Bilango as General Manager for its operations in the Philippines. This appointment comes amid preparations by Binance and local partner BlockShoals Technologies to achieve regulatory compliance and enter the official market through Binance PH.
Bilango brings significant experience to her new role, having previously served as General Manager at BlockchainSpace, where she supported Web3 communities across Southeast Asia. She also held positions at Coins.ph, a locally licensed cryptocurrency exchange, and Mabuhay Capital Corporation, an investment banking firm.
The Binance-BlockShoals partnership is operating under a two-year regulatory sandbox approved by the SEC. This approach allows BlockShoals to handle customer due diligence and know-your-customer verification while Binance focuses on its core services.
Bilango expressed her excitement about joining Binance, stating that it's an 'amazing opportunity' to work with the world's leading blockchain brand.
