Binance Tests Employees with Monthly Phishing Attacks
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has been conducting simulated phishing attacks against its own employees for four years to identify vulnerabilities in their systems.
The fake attacks are carried out by Binance's internal ethical hacking unit, known as the 'red team,' which aims to break into systems and expose weaknesses.
According to Binance Chief Security Officer Jimmy Su, the exchange conducts phishing attacks on its employees every month to gauge their security hygiene and detect potential threats.
The ones who fail these tests are subject to remediation training to ensure they understand the importance of maintaining secure online practices.
