Binance Unblocked Across PLDT and Globe Networks in the Philippines
The Philippine government has unblocked Binance's website across PLDT and Globe networks after a structured re-entry under a regulatory sandbox framework.
This move follows an earlier restoration of access to Binance Philippines by Globe Telecom in May, marking a significant milestone for the exchange's return to Southeast Asia's active crypto market.
In March 2024, the National Telecommunications Commission and Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission directed internet service providers to block Binance for offering unregistered securities without a local license. The exchange went dark across all major networks.
Binance re-entered through a local partner, BlockShoals Technologies Inc., which secured in-principle approval from the SEC in November 2025 and received a Notice to Proceed with Testing on April 14, 2026. BlockShoals operates under the SEC's Strategic Regulatory Sandbox (StratBox) framework.
The PLDT restoration now brings Binance one step closer to full visibility for Filipino retail users, with approximately 59 million mobile subscribers and over 3.5 million broadband users accessing the exchange through this network.
