Binance Unleashes Options on Thousands of US Stocks for Global Traders
Binance is expanding its trading capabilities with the introduction of options on over 1,000 US-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for global users. This move represents a significant milestone in Binance's strategic expansion into traditional financial instruments.
The options products will be physically settled, meaning that when exercised, holders will take possession of or surrender the actual stock shares themselves, rather than receiving a cash-equivalent payment. Qualified retail participants can purchase both call and put contracts, with risk exposure capped at the initial premium payment.
Binance's traditional finance perpetual futures activity has seen significant growth, climbing to $433.4 billion in August, up from $29.5 billion in January. This represents a 15-fold multiplication since the beginning of the year, with stock-linked perpetual contracts powering the majority of this expansion.
