Binance Unveils Agent OS: Allowing AI Agents to Trade Crypto
Binance has launched Agent OS, a platform that lets users delegate routine trading and payment tasks to artificial intelligence agents. This move places Binance alongside Coinbase, Kraken, and OKX in opening their trading rails to autonomous agents.
The four named AI tools supported by Agent OS are ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor. Users can authorize these agents to view account information and place trades within configured permissions and limits, rather than handing over unrestricted access.
Binance has emphasized the importance of user-set controls and subaccounts, separating an agent's funds and trading activity from a user's main balance. The exchange also drew a clear boundary: it can monitor trades placed through Agent OS, but it cannot see an agent's external information sources or decision-making processes.
This move is seen as bullish for crypto adoption and on-chain activity, with industry leaders predicting that AI agents could soon account for a significant share of on-chain activity. By layering user-set limits and subaccount isolation on top of agent access, Binance is positioning Agent OS as a controlled on-ramp for that anticipated wave.
