Binance Unveils Options Trading on 1,000+ US Stocks and ETFs
Crypto exchange Binance has expanded its product lineup by launching options trading on more than 1,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs. This new feature is available to users outside of the U.S. through Binance's Abu Dhabi entity in partnership with U.S.-registered broker Alpaca Securities.
The contracts are executed and cleared through Alpaca Securities, while Nest Trading Limited handles trade execution for the exchange.
This move marks a significant expansion of Binance's range of products linked to traditional financial instruments. According to Binance Head of Exchange and Trading Shunyet Jan, the use of crypto infrastructure for traditional financial assets is becoming increasingly popular.
The company has seen a 15-fold increase in monthly volume in perpetual futures tied to traditional assets, from $30 billion in January to about $445 billion in July. This trend suggests that users are looking for more options when it comes to trading traditional assets using crypto infrastructure.
