Binance Unveils Physically Settled Options on Over 1,000 US Stocks and ETFs
Binance has expanded its offerings to include physically settled options on over 1,000 US stocks and ETFs. The contracts are available for eligible non-US users who can trade calls and puts.
The maximum loss is capped at the premium paid, but it's essential to note that options may expire worthless if the expected move doesn't occur. Buyers can purchase calls for upside exposure or puts for downside protection under the long-only model.
The launch adds equity options to Binance's existing lineup of crypto products and builds on access to more than 7,000 US stocks and ETFs. Unlike crypto ETFs, these new instruments grant contractual rights tied to individual shares or funds that are exercisable upon exercise.
The platform uses Nest Trading Limited, a broker-dealer regulated by Abu Dhabi Global Market, to execute trades and manage settlement and custody through Alpaca Securities or Alpaca Clearing. The first phase supports long-only positions and limit orders.
