Binance Unveils Physically Settled Options on Over 1,000 US Stocks and ETFs
Binance has expanded its derivatives offerings by launching physically settled options on over 1,000 US-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds.
The product is structured as physically settled options, meaning that when a contract is exercised, the underlying shares themselves change hands rather than a cash payment reflecting the difference between the strike price and the settlement value.
This design puts Binance's offering closer to conventional listed equity options than to the cash-settled derivatives common across crypto platforms.
Shunyet Jan, Binance's head of exchange and trading, said that applying crypto infrastructure to traditional financial assets has proven popular and works well in practice. 'We are giving users what they want and giving them more options,' he said.
