Binance vs RedotPay: Singapore Lawsuit Takes Center Stage
Binance and RedotPay are locked in a high-stakes dispute over a Singapore lawsuit tied to their wider conflict. The $473 million Hong Kong case is set against this backdrop.
The latest development in the saga came when RedotPay said it expects Binance to discontinue its Singapore case after an Aug. 7 hearing, citing plans to pursue legal costs from the claimant. However, a Binance spokesperson rejected this characterization as false, stating that Binance has not abandoned its claims and has informed both the court and RedotPay accordingly.
The disagreement centers around the terms of the commercial agreement between RedotPay and Binance's payment arm, with each side presenting competing narratives on whether card funding was used outside the agreed scope. The case is part of a larger conflict that includes a separate Hong Kong lawsuit seeking $472.8 million in damages.
