Binance Warns of Rising Phishing Attacks via Fake Text Messages
Binance has issued a warning to its users about rising phishing attacks via fake text messages.
The exchange reported an increase in fraudulent 'security alert' messages designed to trick users into handing over access to their accounts.
These texts often claim that a user's account settings have been changed or that suspicious activity has been detected, urging potential victims to click on certain links to get their accounts fixed.
Binance assured its users that it would never ask them to tap a link in a text message to verify or secure their accounts, and encouraged them to be extremely careful when receiving unexpected security-related messages.
