Binance's bStocks Surpass $500M AUM Amid Rising Demand for Tokenized Equities
Binance's tokenized securities, bStocks, have achieved significant growth since their launch in June. As of July 29, they have surpassed $500 million in assets under management (AUM), with an aggregate ecosystem market cap hovering around $465 million.
The rapid expansion highlights strong demand for 24/7 trading and tokenized access to U.S. equities, especially outside traditional market hours. BStocks represent economic exposure to U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs, available for trading at any time on Binance's platform and as BEP-20 tokens on the BNB Smart Chain.
The product appeals to a crypto-native audience by unlocking equity-like exposures without the constraints of Wall Street's trading hours. However, it's essential to understand that bStocks are classified as certificates representing financial instruments, not shares themselves. Holders don't gain shareholder rights, such as voting or dividends, associated with the underlying companies.
