Binance's Tokenized Securities Gain Popularity Among New Investors
Binance has been expanding its offerings beyond cryptocurrencies, introducing a range of TradFi-linked products. Among these are TradFi perpetual futures contracts and access to U.S.-listed stocks through bStocks, on-chain tokenized securities.
According to Binance Research, 41.5% of bStock users started their journey with Binance's tokenized security offering. This suggests that bStocks may be serving as the entry point for a new generation of investors into equities.
The growth of bStocks can be attributed to several factors. Firstly, they can be traded throughout the day, unlike traditional U.S. equity markets which operate on a 24/5 schedule. This allows users to capitalize on news, earnings, and macro events even outside regular trading hours.
Another reason for their popularity is extended accessibility during weekday hours. During these extended periods, users focus more on bStocks trading, with evidence showing that 48% of equity-linked volume is for bStocks. Once the trading day ends, traders lock in during the extended hours, upping the volume to 58%.
