BIP-110 Stalls as Saylor Warns Rule Changes Threaten Every Holder
Bitcoin's (BTC) proposed soft fork BIP-110 has stalled at 2.64% miner support, according to Michael Saylor.
Saylor described Bitcoin's consensus rules as a constitution and warned that rewriting them for any faction would attack every holder's economic rights.
In a thread on X, Saylor grouped BIP-110 with covenant proposals and calls for larger blocks together, calling them different instruments serving one constitutional offense.
The proposed soft fork aims to limit arbitrary non-monetary data such as Ordinals inscriptions, but Saylor argued that it would instead censor valid fee-paying transactions.
